Show RABIES CASES SHOW STARTLING INCREASE The number of rabies cases handled now by the state bacteriologist average two a' day, compared with two a week last September, according to Professor L. L. Dailies. The tests" show that at least 90 per cent of the animals inspected in-spected were afflicted with the rabies. The cases have come to date mostly from Millard, Boxelder, Utah and Tooele counties. The presence of unmistakable evidences evi-dences of the rabies in Boxelder county coun-ty and within a few miles of Brigham City has aroused Sheriff Zundel. This official, according to reports received by state health officials, is now taking drastic precautions to prevent any possibility pos-sibility of the spread of the disease in that district. Examination by the state bacteriologist bacteriolo-gist of the head of a dog which bit another dog, killed a goose and attacked some cattie on the ranch of Edward Hadley, just outside Brigham City, has proved that the dog was afflicted with the rabies. |
