Show LIBRARY AT PRICE IS BEING IMPROVED Miss Mary E. Downey, State Organizer, Reports Better Conditions in Southern To-wn. Miss Mary E. Dottuct, state library organizer, working in conjunction with the state board of education, reports that she is enthusiastic concerning plans for a larger and better library for Price, where she has been spending considerable time the past week. She is much impressed with the outlook for the coming vear and with the progress made at Price since her last visit to that city. Miss Downey brought a message from the east, where she has been for several sev-eral months studying library work, and her recommendations were referred to committees for carrying out. Plans have been made for raising money for both books and furniture. Among the immediate improvements at Price are to be two round tables for little folks and a long table for the older children. The books are to be arranged and graded according to the ages of the children and the grades in school, so that they will be readily accessible ac-cessible for use. Plans for improving the lighting system of the library are al.-n under discussion. The circulation of the library has almost al-most doubled the past fortnight, and many new volumes are to be added to the twelves in the near future. |
