Show PRICE I 4 . PRICE, Dec. 2. Miss VHa Bryner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John U. Bryner, and William Thomas will be married in the Salt Lake temple December 20. Both young people are graduates of the Carbon countv high school and are well and favorably fa-vorably known In Price. Mr. Thomas Is teaching in the schools of Richfield, where they will make their home. The Bridge club was entertained by Mrs. H. W. Cooper Tuesday afternoon, the "honors going to Mrs. J. R. Sharp. Nearly 100 persons enjoyed the pretty dancing party given by Miss Thelma Fouts and Miss June Chrlslopherson Friday. Fri-day. evening. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Fonts assisted the voung ladies in receiving the guests and a five-piece orchestra furnished the music for the dancers. One of the most pleasant features of the evening was the aeroplane waltz given bv Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Ammerman, whose dancing has won them renown in the eastern states. Punch was served during dur-ing the evening by three charming little maidens, Josephine Olson. Helen Mac-Knight Mac-Knight and Loraine Ackerman. A private dancing party was given Monday night at the Miles hall by members mem-bers of the Punch club. Those present were Miss Ruby Lamons. Miss Evelyn Frandsen Miss Bertha Eckstein. Arthur Brown, Philip Flovd, Walter Gease, Carl Gunderson, Jr., Irtbur Smith, Howard Allison, Philip Flack, William Fitzgerald and Theodore Thomas. Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Marcusen entertained enter-tained recently the officers of the ward Sunday school' in honor of Mr. and Mrs. R H Stewart, who will leave here soon. Games and music filled the evening, which ivw concluded hy refreshments, served bv;e hostess. Those present, he-sides he-sides the' honor guests, were Br. and Mrs. H B Goetzmann, Mr. and Mrs. Goorge Wootton, Mr. and Mrs. J. Rex Miller and Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Horsley. Miss Dorothea Rassmussen was hostess this week to the Tuesday Nleht Bridge club at the G. E. Nelms home. Miss Vera Hay mend will receive the young ladies next week. Mr. and Mrs. J. Rex Miller entertained at dinner Sunday in honor of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Stewart, who will leave this week for their new home in Briyham City. Or her guests were Dr. and Mrs. H. B. Goetzmann. Miss Goldie Faux, Miss Mattie strong, Miss Inez Scott and Parley Par-ley Rhead. Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Robinett celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary Wednesday. They were the recipients of a number of silver gifts. The Campfire Girls met Tuesday evening even-ing for their regular social meeting with Yolande Sutton. A number of Thanksgiving dinners were given at the various homes in Price, among which was one at the A. RalMnger home, where Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Fouts. Mr. and Mrs. S. A. BaMnger, Mrs. M. G. Cleveland and Miss 'Hazel Cleveland were entertained. Dr. and Mrs. K. F. Chamberlain entertained Dr. F. F. Ffsk, Dr. and Mrs. R. C. Green, Mr. and Mrs. Mat Gilmour and son Craddock. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. "Whitmore entertained at family dinner Mr. and Mrs. B. R. McDonald, Mc-Donald, Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Whitmore and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Whitmore. Mr. and Mrs. John Causer had as their guests Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Stayner, Miss Mattie Strong and Miss Goldie Faux. The O. T. Brooks family and Mr. and Mrs. L. p. Wherry were entertained at the L. A. McGee home. Mr. and Mrs. H. W. patee had as dinner guests the Rev. Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Zelders. Mrs. Frank Averill Is spending a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Cars well, at Woodside. Mr. and Mrs. E. Here 11 of Evanston, 111., were Thanksgiving guests at the C. H. Stevenson home. They were on their way home from California points. Miss Lora Harmon is entertaining this week Miss Verna Clarkson of Salt Lake City. Good book week will be properly observed ob-served in Price the coming week, two programmes having been prepared. One ; will be given by the children from the 1 grade schools Tuesday afternoon at the 1 library and the other by representatives from the Price Sorosis, high school, Price academy and local business men. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Middleton. Miss Mabel Middleton and Mrs. Jessie Sanford are spending the Thanksgiving holidays in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. A. Aldrich and Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Milton of Keslen were Price I visitors Saturday. Miss Relia Millburn is on the road to recovers' from her recent Illness and is j attending school again. , Miss Gladys Nelms, who is teaching school in Hiawatha, spent Saturday and Sunday with her parents In this city. Miss Luclie Morningstar of the academy faculty is spending the Thanksgiving va- ! cation with her parents In Salt Lake. The M. I. A. of Sunnyslde is planning a special James Whileomb Riley programme pro-gramme for Sunday night. A double quartette from Price will furnish Riley songs and readings. A large crowd is planning to attend from Price. Miss Lola Leonard won the annual ; Thanksgiving contest at the high school Wednesday. Her story was well written and well delivered. Miss Afton Wilson 1 won second place, the markings being very close. Miss Leonard received the , gold medal offered by the school board. ; The entertainment given by the play production class of the high school Tuesday Tues-day night was a huce success. The class intends to begin work at once on a three or four-act drama, which Miss Scott, the director, expects will be ready for pres- , entatlon immediately after the Christmas holidays. |
