Show 26 PERSONS ARE KILLED BY BANDITS ATTACKING TRAIN IvAREDO, Tex., Dec. 2. Twenty-six persons, including two constitutionalist generals, were killed by bandits, alleged adherents of Francisco Villa, In an attack on a train nt Talla, between Tnrreon and Paredon. November 28, according to reliable re-liable information received ton is nt. The bandits were under command of Fortunato Salinas. The names of the two dead generals , were' glvn as Toribo de Los Santos and ; Gabriel Calzado. , After the guard had been killed, ac-j ac-j cording to the information, Salinas lined ! up and robbed every passenger on the train. He then read what purported to be the latest Villa "manifesto," as follows fol-lows : First: All loyal Mexicans must Join the Villa cause and those who refuse re-fuse will be considered traitors and immedialely shot. Second: Railroads are to be considered con-sidered property of the Mexican people and all rights foreigners may hitherto have held nrp declared void. Third : Foreigners, after twenty-five twenty-five years' residence In Mexico, must become citizens of the republic or be expelled. Fourth: No American citizen ran acquire prorerty rights or enjoy any privileges accruing- to Mexican citl- zens. All the dead are understood to have been Mexicans. |
