Show WANTS ESTIMATES OF SCHOOL SUPERVISORS Confidential Reports Trom Principals Are Sought by Board of Education Educa-tion Member. Request lias been made of the principals princi-pals of the Salt Hake schools by a member mem-ber of the city board of education for a confidential estimate from each principal as to the efficiency of the three supervisors super-visors criticised in the recent report of the educational council. The supervisors in question were those of physical education, music and art and hand work in the primary grades. The j request for the information was made by j means of circular letters handed out to the principals yesterday afternoon at the regular meeting of the principals in the rooms of the board of education at the citv and county building. Each letter handed out was accompanied by an envelope addressed to the member mem-ber of the board who was requesting the information. The circular letter assured each principal that his report would be treated confidentially. It also contained an adjuration that each refrain from conversing con-versing on the subject with any of his fellows, but rather that he should write his own opinion of the qualifications of each supervisor and mail them in Lhe envelope en-velope provided. " The calling for the reports by a board member was occasioned, it is said, by a rumor having reached the board member that the criticism of the three supervisors in question had been more severe than many of the principals felt that it should have been. |
