Show LAW MAY ELIMINATE SOME OF CANDIDATES Mental Hospital Superintendent Must Have Been in Practice for Five Years. A half-forgotten section of the statutes may narrow down the list of candidates who can qualify for appointment as superintendent su-perintendent of the state mental hospital In Provo, which appointment will come before the state insanity board at its regular monthly meeting today in Provo. Thfs section is l'l;3 of the Compiled I,as. which provides that the superintendent superin-tendent of the hospital must have had at least five years' experience as a practicing prac-ticing physician after receiving: his diploma diplo-ma from a medical college. It is said that some of the applicants for the appointment, ap-pointment, to succeed Pr. D. H. Calder. since setting their diplomas. Dr. Calder. when he resigned, asked to le relieved from his official duties May li. It is possible that the insanity hoard will not name his successor today, but will hold a special meeting next week to make the appointment.
