Materials consist of narrow striped sHk with a taffeta finish. S Iks in pompadour small plaids and 'checks are the best of these. Manv crepes and veilings already are being shown with a small Dresden flower pat tern, which was re ived a year ago. Cashmeres and satin cloths will b among the materials for street wear Colors will be subdued with a preva lence of black and white, white predomt nating Effecta in stripes will be better form than checks or plaids being smarter and more suitable to the new s houette. While the trend of styles is and for some time baa been toward the 1S30 period, our 191a mode of living demands a distinctly modern adaptation. |
