Show BIRTHS MORE THAN DOUBLE THE DEATHS The weekly report of the city board of health shows 56 births and 25 deaths. Of the births 29 were boys and 27 were girls; of the deaths 15 wore males and 10 wore females. A total of twenty-four cases of contagious con-tagious and infectious diseases were reported re-ported as follows: Smallpox, 3; diphtheria, diph-theria, 8; typhoid fever, 1; pneumonia, 2; scarlet fever, 2; measles, 2; chicken-pox, chicken-pox, 5; mumps, 1. Tho report of the school nurses show that of 28,651 inspections of school children 85 children were excluded from the schools because of suspicions symptoms. symp-toms.
