Show Young Violinists Do Well. One of the most enjoyable musical events of the week way the recital srhen in Consolidated Music hall last Wednesday Wednes-day evening by some of the violin pupils of George E. Skelton. While th entire programme Included twenty numbers, it was so as to never become otherwise titan pleasing to the lare audience. All of the students acquitted themselves. with iredii, but for excellence of work, age and training train-ing considered, special mention is to be made of the playing of Belli S. l-Iurley, aged 6, and Clifford Leslie, aged 7. Mark Manger's interpretation of "Romance" (Svendsen) was unusually good and Elizabeth Ba umberger did well with her Kielsler number. Others whose work attracted at-tracted attention for keen intdeht and skill were May me C. Ward, Owen A. Bartlett and Albert Freeman, the blind boy. |
