Show INCREASE SALE OF MOTORCYCLE TIRES "To take care of the steadily Increasing Increas-ing .' demand for Goodyear motorcycle tires, we have just brought our factory production to well over 1500 tires a day," says J. C. Riley, local manager of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber company. "This Is many, times greater than the. dally production of any other motorcycle ttre factor v department In the world." Mr. Riley added: Here are the flgrures showing what our factory turned out in motorcycle tires last week: Jlonday, 1403 ; Tuesday. 15.6; Wednesday. 1514; Thursday. 1565; Friday. 1680. We work only a half day Saturdays, so the figure for last Saturdav is not included. Think of it 7739 motorcycle motor-cycle tires in five days to take care of the demand for Good years. And yet some people still speak of the motorcycle industry and its accessories acces-sories as an "Infant industry." We have, incidentally, improved the Goodyear product for motorcycles over last year. Our 191 1 tread is tougher, and the whole tire is more efneient and wear-resisting than ever before. It is upon our policy of seeking" seek-ing" always to Improve the quality of our product that we base Goodvear popularity. Comparing our tales "records "rec-ords with the figures of motorcycle production, we are assured that at least half the motorcycle tire business busi-ness of the country for lf 14 will be Goodyear business. If concentration on the problem of making the best tire that skill and experience can j devise counts for anything-, we believe be-lieve our proportion of the country's business will keen on growing In the future just as remarkably as it has done in the past few years. |
