Show TOira EXTENSION DECLAHES DIVIDEND New Equipment of Enlarged Mill Expected to Treat 250 Tons Daily. Special to The Tribune. TOXOPAH, Nev., Feb. 20. It Ti-as announced here today that the directors of the Tonopah Extension Mining company com-pany had declared the regular quarterly 'dividend of 2a cents per share. They also declared v a special dividend of 2 cents per share and an extra dividend of cents per share, making the total dividend declared of 7a cents per share. The company is now mining and milling a considerable tonnage of ore. According to the management there vras milled during the month of January, 7201 tons, and it is expected that this tonnage will be increased to an average of better than 250 tons per day when the equipment of tho enlarged mill is working up to capacity. A recent development of considerable importance to the company has taken place in the old mine on the 500-foot level of the No. 1 shaft. An entirely new vein has been crosscut in the trachyte formation which shows two and one-half feet of good ore. The development de-velopment now under way at that point indicates, according to the management, that a promising ore body will be opened up. . The ore in the stope on the Egyptian vein above the 400-foot level is of a higher grade than where it was encountered en-countered in the drift. Development work shows that it is also getting wider, the bodv being stoped now measuring better than nine feet. There is three feet of ore showing in the south vein of stope 601 on the 600-foot level, and on the 660-foot level in stope 661 there is three feet of milling ore. Ore is also being stoped on the 850-foot 850-foot level, the 950-foot level, the 1020-foot 1020-foot level, the 1100-foot level and on the 1170-foot level. The ore bodies on the last three levels mentioned average between ten and fifteen feet in width, and the ore is of good milling grade. |
