Show SCHOOLS TO CELEBRATE. Washington's Birthday to Be Observed Appropriately at Spanish Fork. Special to The Tribune. SPANISH FORK, Feb. 20. The schools of Spanish Fork will be closed Monday in honor of Washington's birthday. The teachers of the district have united in preparing an excellent and appropriate programme, which will be given at the opera house at l o'clock In the afternoon for the children and at 8 o'clock In the evening for the parents. A good deal of work has been devoted to the entertainment entertain-ment and each grade will be represented In a patriotic drill or musical selection. The children will appear in appropriate costumes and the affair promises to be a bit? success. Under the auspices of the parents' classes of the four wards of S-panish Fork. Dr. George Middleton of the 1. P. R. hospital. Salt Iake. will lecture at-the opera house Sunday evening. His subject sub-ject will be "Physical Salvation," and there will be a musical programme furnished fur-nished In- the four wards. Mrs. H. V. Reherd of Salt Lake City will deliver a lecture at the Presbyterian church Sunday evening on the subject of "Twentieth Century Womanhood." An excellent musical protrramme has been arranged for the occasion. The qnarterlv conference of Nebo stake will be held at Payson Sunday and will convene at 10 a. m. and again at 2 p. m. Many from this city are planning to attend. |
