Show CARRANZA TROOPS ARE BADLY BEATEN CCRONADO, Cal., Feb. 20. In an important battle near Rosario, about sixty-seven kilometers south of the port of Mazatlan, General Carrasco, a sup- porter of General Carranza, hts been, i decisively defeated by General Buelna, a Villa partisan, and his routed troops are today streaming into Mazatlan. A radiogram to Rear Admiral Howard, How-ard, commanding the Pacific fleet, received re-ceived today, said that Carrasco has 500 men missing, and that his troops in their retreat abandoned their horses, artillery and equipment. Other forces supporting Carranza aro also withdrawing to Mazatlan, which now holds all of Carranza 'e generals in the state of Sinaloa, General Flores excepted. |
