Show WOOL EXPECTED TO INCREASE IN PRICE Head of Wool Warehouse and Storage Company of Chicago Expresses ' opinion. J. D." Holliday, president of the National "Wool Warehouse & Storage company of Chicago, arrived In Salt Lake yesterday. Mr. Holliday said that he expected little change in the wool market for the next month, after which lie looked for somewhat some-what higher prices unless some unforeseen unfore-seen condition should take piace. In commenting upon the outlook last night, S. W. McClure, secretary of the National Woolgrowers, association, said: i So far as I know, very little wool i has been sold here in the past week. Buyers have been very active throughout through-out the west and have endeavored to buy wool in all parts of tlie wool territory. I am advised that new buyers are on their way west from the east and it is expected that this week some wool will be "bought at slightly higher prices than have yet been offered. In Montana, 25 cents has been offered for fine Merino wools and it is probable that 1 to 28 cents will be offered in the near future fu-ture for cross-bred wools. There is some stir among eastern manufacturers. manufac-turers. They are beginning to appreciate appre-ciate that with the short supply available avail-able they will have to get busy and buy as much as possible for their own protection. |
