OCR Text	Show EMERSON BENNETT IS HIGHLY HONORED Emerson Bennett was yesterday elected president of the freshman class at the West Side high school, to succeed .Julian Clawson, who recently resigned. Mr. Clawson, who was very popular among his fellow students, withdrew from the office in order to devote more attention to his lessons. He was regarded re-garded by the students us one of the iivest" members of the school. Mr. Bennett also is popular in the freshman fresh-man class. Though he has not before been associated with any such position, he was the unanimous choice for the office.
