Show HARRY S. JOSEPH MUST BRING PROOF Otherwise, County Attorney Will Not Proceed With the Demanded Prosecutions. Unless Harry S. Joseph can bring proof that money lias been paid by some appointive officer on tho county side of the building to some elective officer, it is not likely that the county attorney will take the action requested by Mr. Joseph and prosecute- men who are alleged to have paid money for positions. po-sitions. This was the decision of tho county attorney yesterday, following a visit of Mr. Joseph to his office. The county attorney notified Joseph that he was willing to issue complaints and prosecute prose-cute u pon sulKcicnt evidence, but that until he got such evidence he did not feci that he should yut the county to the expense of a prosecution which might result in nothing. Mr. Joseph declared that he would take the rnntter up with the county commifsioners, but up to a late hour yesterday afternoon bo hail made no furt Iter requests for an investigat ion on tho part of the county commission-ore. |
