Show PREP QUINT IS NO MATCH FOR L. D. S. U. The' University of Utah preps went j down to miserable defeate at the hands of the L. D. S. U. quintette yesterday to the tune of 79 to 2S. The game was played on the L. D. S. T.T. floor. The game was a game that was not a ; game. It was merely a relay method on the part of the church school players to throw field and foul baskets, from Smith 1 on down the line. Occasionally the preps would break the monotony of Smith's and Williams's grandstand demonstrations by alternately throwing an isoloted basket here and there, thus finally reaching 23 points. The first half of the would-be game ended with a score of 16 to 43 against, the preps. Smith was the referee. If nothing more, the play yesterday was at least a fine practice in basket throwing for the L. D. S. U. basketeers in preparation prepara-tion for the real struggle of the division next Friday between the L. D. S. U. and the West Side players, which will mark the climax of the whole division combat. |
