Show COMPLIMENTS GIVEN TO NEW HIGH SCHOOL Mentioned in the Praise Is the Drill of the Cadets and Calisthenics of the Girl Students. Letters congratulating the board of education orj the. new high school building, build-ing, and referring to the high school students in highly complimentary terms for the showing made on Governor's Gov-ernor's day were received yesterday by L. P. Judcl, clerk of the board. Ouc was from H. C. Sharp, vice president of the board of education of Camden, New Jersey, who attended the observance of the day. It follows: 1 feel that I can not go away without some expression of the very great pleasure afforded mo today. 1 spent two hours in the school building and am compelled to say that in every detail it is the most perfect school building 1 have ever visited. The various exercises and drills by your students stu-dents were a revelation to me. I will return home with a higher and a better idea of my duties as a. member of the board' of education educa-tion of Camden. Another letter was from W. C. Stark, secretary of the Commercial club, who wrote: President Jensen wishes me to thank you for your kind invitation to us to attend the Governor's day exercises at the new high school, building. We had much pleasure in being there, and the drill of the cadets and the calisthenics of the girls were a revelation to us. The new building is a beautiful one and a credit to Salt Lake City. |
