Show OGDEN DISAPPROVES OF MURPHY'S RULING Special t-t The Tribune. ! OGDEN, June 1. A step which it is believed will mean better and cleaner baseball in the Union association was taken today, when officials of the Ogden club voiced a disapproval of the dismissal of Umpire New-house from the league by President Murphy. The local men contend con-tend that if the umpires must fear the loss of their jobs by the manner in which they conduct ga mes wrangling by the players will continue. Unless rowdyism and the disputing of decisions is stopped now, tho trouble between be-tween umpires and players will always continue, the officials contended. A telegram tele-gram was sent today to President Murphy Mur-phy by President Bigelow of the local club, in which Mr. Bigelow set forth the views of the Ogden club officials relative to Mr. Murphy's action. Mr. Bigelow would not ma.ke known publicly the contents con-tents of the message. |
