Show UTAH MUSIC CLUB FORMALLY ORGANIZED i Charter members of an organization ! formed to aid in tiie cultivation of musi- 1 cal taate met last evening at the Com- 1 mercial club. Tiie preliminary meeting:, held last week in the studio of John T. Hand, brought forth a tentative outline of plans and a decision -to form a society under formal regulations. More than twenty were present, at the meetiner last evening. It. was decided that the society should be known as the Utah Musical i.'lub. Officers were elected as follows: Ahdon Oberg-. president; Josie Hinckley, secretary and treasurer; John Rufsoii, business manager: Kdna Anderson, chairman chair-man programme committee; Frances Gold-water, Gold-water, critic. Xo purpose of opposition or rivalry as regards any other musical organization in the city is' contemplated. The formation is held" to be merely another evidence of the plainly apparent desire of those interested inter-ested in musical culture to work together without factionalism. |
