Show SENIORS RECEIVED By THEPBE5IDEOT Annual Feature of University Life Attended by Many Students' Parents. " Nearly 300 person?, including members of the graduating: ebiss of the L'niversily rtf Utah, alumni and friends nf the university, uni-versity, attended the immial reception to the seniors, given vesterdav in tin- new administration building by President and Mrs. J. T. Kingsbury of tiie university. In order that the entire building might not be thrown open before its" of lu-ial opening this afternoon, visitors were not permitted in t lie. inimensp new librarv, which is the feature of the building a nd which is now complete. The other rooms of Die building were open for inspection and the many visitors, most of whom , were parents or relatives of the graduates, gradu-ates, were shown bv the seniors throdgh the structure. The receiving: was done in. the girls' rest room, which was turned into a lounging . room and parlor. The men's rest room, ; which joins, was thrown open to the guests as a dining-room. : Guests were received at the dont- bv , President and Mrs. Kinsrshury and Mrs. ; YV. W. Riter. The refreshments consisted ' of ice cream, served in red and white, the university colors, and cake. Girls of the university and wives of the facultv members served. Those waiting on guests in the. rest room were Mrs. Milton Bennion. Mrs. W. H. Bradford. Mrs. James L. Gibson. Mrs. A. A. Knowlton. Mrs. H. R. Lyman, Mrs. Byron Cummings. Marion Hiskev. Lennre Smith, Helen. Cannon, Ruth Kingsburv, Orpha Kingsbury, Jeannette Thompson and Clara Prout. During the entire afternoon punch was served in the- north end of the main hall. Marion Thompson and Martha Barlow of the Gamma Phi sorority presided at the punch tables. |
