A leading railroad hue called for bids on move tormlnal work, while additional marine construction will require a considerable tonnage of stoel plates. In dry goods Jobbers display conservatism conservat-ism and are not inclined to purchase freely until they havo more fully ascertained ascer-tained tho trend of fall demand. In woolens and worsteds the leading manufacturers manu-facturers are well supplied with orders for fall, some being so fully engaged that thev are not seeking new business.
