Show RESTRICT USE OF IMITSTI1 STUMPS Can Be Placed on Back of Packages, Pack-ages, but Not on Front, Is Decision Made. Order No. 5G20 from the postmaster gonoral, dated at Washington, July 1, 1911, reads as follows: "No adhesive stamps, or imitations of stamps, of any form or design whatever, what-ever, other than lawful postage stamps, shall be affixed to tho address side of domestic mail matter, but such adhesive ad-hesive stamps, provided they do not in form and design resemble lnwful postage post-age stamps, and do not bear numerals, i may bo affixed to the reverse side of domestic mail matter. "All domestic mail matter bearing on the address side adhesive stamps or imitations of stamps, other than lawful law-ful postage stamps, will be returned to the sender, if known; otherwise they will be forwarded to the division of dead letters." |
