Montana Agricultural college this evening defeated tho Utah Agricultural college in a. do-bate. do-bate. the subject of which was. "Should the Federal Government Directly Control the Development of Water Power?" The Montanans had tho affirmative Judges wero President C. H. Bowcu. president of Montana State School of Mines; J. H. Durston of Anaconda and Prof. J. H. Underwood of the University Univer-sity of Montana. For Utah appeared Merrill A. Maughan and Walter Llnd-sav. Llnd-sav. and for Montana. Horace Davis and William Winters. Utah and Montana each have a victory vic-tory 'to its credit and another two years' debating contract was entered into. A banquet was tendered the debaters, attended by faculty and students of the college.
