Show I TEACHERS OF ECONOMICS IN INTERESTING MEETING Tho scries of meetings of the teachers teach-ers of home economics began at the university uni-versity Friday. The. meeting was held In the assembly room of tho museum building and was well attended by teachers teach-ers interested in this vork from all over An excellent paper -was given before ihe assembly at tho forenoon session by Miss Amy Lyman of the department of domestic science of the L. D. S. tml-vrr.sity tml-vrr.sity on the subject of "The Desirability Desira-bility of a S'late Course of Study In Home Economics in the Grades and In I lie High School." Following the reading read-ing cf the paper a general discussion was entered on the paper. At 10:30 o'clock a paper on "The Courses In Domestic Art for The Seventh and Eighth Grades" was read by Mme. Root, of the I'nlversity of Utah. In the pvenlnsr the teachers wero entertained enter-tained at dinner at tho University club. The convention will continue Itfs meetings meet-ings today In the Knutsford hotel. The programme for today Is as follows: a. m. "Courses in Domestic Science for the Seventh and Eighth Grades," by Miss Joana D. Beach of Guymon. Okla. 1 p. m. A business meeting will be held at which time officers will be elected elect-ed for tho ensuing year. A report of the committee on constitution and by-laws will be given by Florence M. Brown of thf Utah Agricultural college. 2 p. m. A paper will bo given on "Work in Rural Communltles'-by Lewis A. Merrill of the Utah Agricultural col- |
