Show ADVERTISING "COPY" SHOW ftl CONTEST Omaha Club Inaugurates Interesting Inter-esting Educational Feature for Ad Men's Meeting. OMAHA, Neb., March 17. An advertising adver-tising copy exhibit nnd contest will bo a feature of tho next meeting of tho Associated As-sociated Ad Clubs of America, to be held In Omaha July IS, 10 and 20. To mako the work of tho associated advertising clubs moro effective, and the convention moro educational, the Omaha club, which will bo host to ihc "meeting, will offer five cash prizes for advertising copy and displuy all entries in a big show room, giving writers tho benefit of showing their work, and huycrs of copy the opportunity of seeing a display of the brains of men from all ymrts of tho United States. The contest Is open to any copy writer In America, except members mem-bers of the Omaha clun. , The five prizes will bo offered for tho following classes of "copy": One full page department store advertisement, one half page exclusive clothing store advertisement, ad-vertisement, one half pago exclusive dry goods advertisement, one pago for magazine maga-zine advertisement for any manufactured article, and a suitable ad of not less than halt a page to run In agricultural papers on a mall order proposition. Tho copy will be Judged by the five best copy men to be secured and then the copy will bo offered for sale, the proceeds to go to the exhibitors, whether a prize winner or not. The prizes will bo substantial. Tho list of prizes and particulars nrc being prepared by F. W. Harwood, secretary of tho Omaha club, who makes the announcement. The Omaha club Is preparing for a big convention and has opened headquarters In tho Board of Trado building, advertising adver-tising the meeting as "In Omaha out where It Is cool," The average temperature tempera-ture In Omaha on the dates selected for nine years has been 71 degrees |
