Seven hundred branches of the Relief society of the Mormon church celebrated ihe sixty-eighth anniversary of the organization or-ganization of tho soelely Thursday. This organisation bn:i a tol.-tl membership of about :ir..000. Mrs. Uaibsheba W, Smith, general president of the society. Is said to be the only person now living who was present at the organization. She Is SS years old. Owing to HI health, Mrs. Smith was unable to attend the. celebration, but was in lh" thoughts of all present. During llio afternoon dainty refreshments wero served. The members of the Jolly Thirteen club were delightfully entertained by Mrs. O. F. Peterson, Thursday afternoon, at her home, SOS 12ast Fifth South street The afternoon was pleasantly spent In cards, the prizes being won by Mrs. Gillespie Gil-lespie and Mrs. Jaeobson. After the prizes were, given a dainty luncheon was served. The house was beautifully and appropriately decorated with emblems and Powers, representative of St, Patrick's Pat-rick's day. Fitzgerald at the home of the latter on South Temple street. During the afternoon dainty refreshments re-freshments were served. Fifty guests were present.
