Vlon, advance man for Lauder, did little to solve tho problem that has been bothering both-ering the amusement devotees of this city considerably for several days. Mr. Vlon was peculiarly reticent whon seen at the Knutsford Monday night. Ho declined to glvo a positive answer, cither in tho affirmative or tho negative. "Will Mr. Lauder appenr before a Salt Lake audience January B?' was asked. "I ran't say," was Vlon's reply. "Will you say that Mr Lander will not appear?" was the next question. "I can't say." replied the advance man. Vlon side-stepped further questions nnd left those who overboard the questions and answers In a quandary.
