Show TECHNICAL WORK IH MILITARY TACTICS To Be Taken Up by Officers of National Guard, Beginning Begin-ning Next Week. Beginning next Thursday the ofllccrs of the National Guard of Utah will take up a system of technical education on military regulations and taction under the supervision of Lieut. G. A. AVclscr of tho Fifteenth United States Infantry. Tho school will be for commissioned officers offi-cers only and Is In accordance with the provisions of tho Dick bill, which becomes be-comes effective January 21. Lieut. AVclscr Is well prepared to give Instruction to the National Guard officers, offi-cers, having just completed a postgraduate post-graduate course of instruction In tho Infantry In-fantry and cavalry school at Fort Leavenworth. Tn addition to the school for officers, the ajgnal corpG of the National Guard of L'tah will this week take up the study of wireless telegraphy. This organization organiza-tion was recently supplied by tho war department with two set3 of tho most, advanced typo of apparatus, and the first study will be In acquainting the men with the various parts of the sets. When warm weather opens the sots will be taken Into the field and actual use will be made of the instruments. Lieutenant Bell of the Fifteenth United States Infantry In-fantry recently completed a course at the army signal school at Fort Leavenworth, Leaven-worth, and has volunteered bis services as Instructor to the local militiamen. |
