Flack, wife of tho missing Abilene bank cushler. who arrived hero last night, said today that nhe left her husband in New York last Monday morning. Mr.". Fl.-Lck was prostrated when she arrived here and learned tho condition of her husband's financial affairs, and today sht is HI at Uio home of a neighbor. She said she had supposed that nothing noth-ing was wrong with the bank's condition except that tho bookn wore tangled, until un-til Flack told her he proposed going to GaUeston. naying "they will be after me." Then she declared that they must return, bul he refused. Sho took enough money for her'oxpenseH and stal led homo-Mrs. homo-Mrs. Flack said that Flack had but ?2fi0 with him. She paid her husband did not allow her to read tho newspapers and that she did not know of recent developments develop-ments until she arrived at Topeka last night. Mrs. Flack will claim only their personal per-sonal effects. Tho bank reopened today for continued liquidation. The sheriff and Plnkcrton detectives are on the trail of Flack. |
