Show VISITOR IS RECIPIENT OF AN IN VOLUNTARY BATH G. W. Moore of New York, a representative' represen-tative' of the .Manufacturers Association of America, was given a sudden and Involuntary bath while standing on the west side of Main street at the curh-stono curh-stono adjoining the wall of the Temple block. A caretaker of the Temple grounds, cither by accident or mischievous mischie-vous design, turned on the water which connects with a sprinkling arrangement ar-rangement for the parking on the side of tho street, and Mr. Moore was drenched. A woman and iier baby shared in the Ill-effects of the downpour and It was only after the woman had screamed frantically that the water was turned off. Mr. Moore complained lo a policeman and also to the bureau of Information on the temple grounds. He says he was told that the water was frequently turned on in order to keep people from loitering on the grass and that, perhaps, a mlstako had been made. Mr. Moore was taking observations of the construction construc-tion of tho Utah hotel and making notes for his company. He later made complaint com-plaint lo the police department and announced an-nounced that lie would swear out a complaint com-plaint this morning for the arrest of the mischievous or careless caretaker. Mr. Moore said that ho doubted whether the city gave the church permission to use the pipeline along the public parking to drench passersby, or those who might linger a moment along the sidewalk. |
