T.be sixth performance of "The Spendthrift" Spend-thrift" will be given at the Salt Lake theater tonight, the engagement, end-1S end-1S with two performances Saturday. This play has taken a deep hold of " the public and the Increased attendance at each performance Indicates that tho advice ad-vice of The Tribune that everybody in Salt .Lake should see the play Is being taken. Tonight is society night at the Or-pheum, Or-pheum, and for the performance there las been a tremendous advance sale. It Is expected that the audience will be one of the most fashionable of the season. The next attraction at the Colonial will be the famous Richards and Pringle Georgia minstrels. They will play a mat-inee mat-inee and evening performance next Sunday. Sun-day. Professor Hermann S. Hcrlng. C. S. B., who will lecture In the Salt Lake theater September 25. Is a native of Philadelphia, Pa., and son of Dr. Constantino Con-stantino Herlng. the founder of homeopathy homeop-athy In America. He Is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania from the department de-partment of mechanical engineering, receiving re-ceiving the professional degree of M. E. in 1SS6. In 1S09 he gave up his profession profes-sion for the purpose of devoting himself entirely to Christian Science work. The popular-priced vaudeville will be discontinued for a time at the Shubert with tonight's two performances. Beginning Be-ginning with tomorrow afternoon's performance, per-formance, the program will consist entirely en-tirely of motion pictures, headed by a new film. "Uncle Tom's Cabin." At the Isis, Luna and Elito theaters three good picture programmes will close with today's performances. Beginning tomorrow afternoon the new bills of first-run first-run pictures will be given. |
