Show RICHARDSON'S SLAYING; MEAGER PARTICULARS Special to The Tribune. BRIGIIAM CITY. April 2. Sheriff Joseph Jo-seph Josephs and County Attorney Nels Benson returned tonight from Kolton. Utah, whero they went to Investigate the death of Warren Richardson, a Cassia Cas-sia county farmer, who is supposed to have been murdered in the road near that point early In the week, and whose dead body was found Thursday. It appears ap-pears that four men, including Mr. Richardson Rich-ardson and George Brakcnbury. left Almo, Ida., last Saturday night and went to Kclton. Utah. AH of the- men had been drinking heavily, it Is said, and when they were about to return the three men started In one wagon, while Richardson started alone in another. Sheriff Josopha brings tho information that Richardson Is supposed to have been attempting to get away from tho other three, when Brackcnbury ordered him to stop. This he refused to do. aiirj Brack-cnburv Brack-cnburv is said to havo made tho statement state-ment "that he would soon stop him, if ho had to kill him. Leaving the other two men, Brackcnbury set out after Richardson on horseback, and Is alleged to have reached him where ho had made a camp for tho night on a side road. Brackenburv carried with him a shotgun, a wound from which sort of a weapon Is said to have caused Richardson's death. The officials of several places aro hunting hunt-ing for Brackcnbury, but no trace of. him has beon found. Richardson was about 60 years old. |
