Show CALIFORNIA CUTTHROAT TROUT FOR FISHERMEN The Mountain Trout hatchery of Murray Mur-ray has Imported 1 1.000 native trout from the Truokeo river: that Is. the eggs were shipped here and hatched at Murray. Tho trout are now from four to six Inches In length, and Superintendent Superin-tendent Bradford said Saturday that he would fhrow the stream, in which the fish aro now held captive, open for fishing fish-ing some lime in June, at which time the fish would bo from six to eight Inches in length. There Is a great deal of difference between be-tween the Truckee river trout and the Utah native trout. The former arc very hard and are much more slender than our native fish. In Nevada and California Califor-nia tho fish arc known as the cutthroat trout and a prettier fish does not swim anywhere. I Superintendent Bradford said that he has hatched over 4.000,000 eggs this spring and so far has not supplied the demand for trout fry. There arc 1.000.000 fish In tho hatchery at the present time. . |
