Show STAKE CNFEIEUE IS HELDJ OGDEH Attendance Is Large and Many Interesting Reports Are Received. Special to The Trlhune. OGDEN. Aug. 8. The regular quarterly conference of the Ogdcn stake of tho Mormon Mor-mon church was held at the tabernacle today. At both morning apd afternoon sessions the attendance was large, and much Interest was manifested In the work being dono In the stake and the reports submitted by tho heads of the various departments. Apostle Orson F. Whitney and B. II. Roberts of Salt Lake, who were expected at the conference, wore not able to be present. At the morning session Dr. Joseph R. Morrell. George E. Fcrrln of Huntsville, Bishop Francis BIngha.m of tho Mlddleton ward, Bishop Arthur L. Ferrln of Liberty ward. President C. F. Mlddleton and Reuben Reu-ben T. Rhoos were the speakers. In the afternoon Mrs. Sarah M. Taylor, president of the Women's Relief society, i-cslla S. Hodgson, superintendent of Sunday-schools, and Mrs. Catherine G. Wright, superintendent of tho primary department, de-partment, submitted their reports showing show-ing the work accomplished In each department de-partment during the past ciuarter. Prof. W. M. McKondrick of Weber academy, C. C. Richards and Thomas B. Evans delivered addresses In the afternoon A soeclal programme of music was ren-dered'by ren-dered'by the tabernacle choir and a number num-ber of solos were sung by Horace S. Imi-Isign. Imi-Isign. President Thomas B. Evans presided pre-sided over the sessions of tho conference. This evening at the tabernacle a Joint session of tho Y. M. M. I. A. and the Y. L. M. I. A. of the stake was held at tho tabernacle. Nathan .1. Harris and Mrs. Addela Eardley. a member of the general board of tho Y. Jj. M. I. A. a I Salt Lake, delivered addresses io tho young people In attendance. |
