A serious riot was proven ted at the morning service of St. Joseph's Catholic church today by a sound of pollco, present In anticipation or trouble. As soon as Father Pyplata bciTJin his sermon a portion of the congregation con-gregation started to sing tho Polish national na-tional anthem, completely drowning tho words of the priest. A demonstration by the police caused the song to stop, but tho service was ended to prevent further trouble. When Father Pyplaty. returned from a year's absence, ho found a strong sentiment senti-ment against lilin In his congregation. Th" opposing faction charged that he had collected $2000 for repairs for the church and kept, the money. Father Pyplata says he can product: receipts for that iimount, spent for repairs.
