Show WOMEN SELECTED FOR ACTIVE WORK Formation of the Women's Oiii-! Oiii-! zens' Committee for Grand I Army Encampment. That active work in preparation for the carrying out of the details of the work of the women's citizens' committee commit-tee at tho coming forty-third national eiica m pment of tho G. A, B. should bo started at once, was tho sontimcnt of representatives of the different women's organizations of the stalo at the mcct-iii" mcct-iii" held in the dining-room of the Commercial Com-mercial club Monday afternoon, begiu-ii begiu-ii i il IT at 3 o'clock . . Preliminary steps of organization were taken at a meeting held Saturday afternoon, when about: one hundred women wero present. At tho meeting Monday about an hour was occupied with n discussion of what was to bo done bv the organization and a. number of short addresses bv several ot tho women. Permanent officers wero then elected as follows: Chairman, Mrs. V. U. .Tones: Jirt vice-chairman, Mrs. 1-. S. Richards; second vice-chairman. Mrs. W. V. Ritcr; secretary. Mrs. L. C. Stocking; treasurer, Ruth M. Pox. It will be necessary to havo nearly eighteen subcommittees appointed to carry on tho various details of the work that is to be done, and tho makeup make-up of these committees will bo considered con-sidered at another meeting of tho newly elected ofliecrs at the home of the chairman, chair-man, at 231 South Third Bast, Saturday Satur-day afternoon at 3 o'clock.
