City Engineer Joseph t.'limr has offered u recommendation recommenda-tion to the Murray clly county, and the same has been accepted, whereby the Progress Power company will be given an extension of thno for the Installation of the street lights on west Murray street until the Utah Independent Telephone companv moves Its poles lo the curb line. The Murrnv Dramatic club will present Its pretty Utile drama, entitled "Won Back," a storv of the south, at the Murray Mur-ray amusement hall on the evening of T'uesdnv evening the citizens of Bingham Bing-ham Junction will hold a mass meeting In the rooms of the Bingham Junction Commercial club, when the matter- of incorporation in-corporation will be laid before the people of that place. It Is predicted by those thoroughly acquainted with conditions at the Junction that Incorporation will go through bv an overwhelming majority. The Lark school Is closed owing to a number of scarlet fever cases in that vl-clnltv. vl-clnltv. Mr. Palmer, the principal, will do substitute work In the Sandy school during the time the Lark school Is closed. The Jordan high school now has an enrollment en-rollment of sixty pupils taking flint and second year work. The stale board has added .a Uilrd year course, and eight rooms will be occupied by the school at tho opening of tho school year In .September. .Sep-tember. A suitable laboratory equipment for the science work will be added also. |
