| Show AN ORDINANCE the business of slaughtering williau certain limits SEC 1 be it ordained by the city council of prow city that no person shall bo allowed to construct and use a slaughtering establishment or carry on a slaughtering business in provo city within the following limits to wit commencing thirty two chains west of the south east comer of section eleven 11 township seven 7 south of range two 2 east salt kiako meridian chenco north one half mile to the quarter section line running east and west through said section eleven 11 thence west eight chains to the centre of said section eleven 11 thence north to the bank of provo eiver thence easterly and northerly along the bank of said river to a point whore it intersects the north section line of section thirty six ag township G south of range two 2 east salt lake meridian thence east along said section line to the east boundary line of provo city thence southerly along the boundary line to a point where it intersects the north section line of section seventeen 17 township seven 7 south of bango three 3 east thence west to the place of beginning SEC 2 it shall bo unlawful for any person firm or corporation to establish or carry on the business of slaughtering within the limit of provo city until the site on which the business is to bo conducted shall have been first approved by the city council SEC 3 any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of an offense and on conviction thereof may by fined in any sum less than one hundred dollars or be imprisoned not to exceed one hundred days or both SEC 4 that an ordinance entitled an ordinance prohibiting the business of slaughtering within certain passed may ath 1885 bo and the same is hereby repealed passed february ath A D 1888 H DUSEN BEKEY mayor of provo city attest E L JONES city recorder or UTAH COUNTY OF UT UI ss catt I 1 E L jones recorder in and for city utah county territory of utah hereby certify that the foregoing is a full true and correct copy of an ordinance prohibiting the business of slaughtering within certain limits massed by the city council of provo city february ath A P 1888 in testimony whereof I 1 seal have hereunto affixed the corporate seal of provo city this day of february A 1 1888 E L chiy recorder |
