Wheat opened firm because of rains in Kansas and other sections of the winter wheat belt, and prices continued to advance until near the close, when a slight reaction occurred on profit-taking. Thcro was good general demand .ill day and somo of tho loading shorts were heavy buyers. One concern was credited with purchases of approximately approxi-mately 2,000.000 bushels. Tho markot was also bulllshly affected by small primary pri-mary receipts and a docreaso of 1.949.000 bushels In the world'H visible supply. The closo was strong.
