All these things tended to show what a vast number of interests were wrapped up in sports. From ono end of Australia to the other thou- sands of enthusiasts were watching tho trend of events with anxious eyes. When, too, it was roajized that the prolongation pro-longation of hostilities meant the jeopardizing jeop-ardizing of the visit of an English team to Australian shores then the papers became flooded with suggestions as to the proper methods to pursue to end the crisis.
