Show ST. ANTHONY BOOMING F. W. Ross, Former Salt Laker, Talks of Hustling Idaho Town. F. W. Rosa, formerly of Salt Lako but now a prominent stockman and rancher of St.. Anthony, Ida., is in the city, a guest of tho Kcnyon. St. Anthony, now a town of about 2300 population, Is growing rapidly. The country 13 being settled up by a desirable, desir-able, thrifty, industrious class of citizens and is fast improving. Tho crops this year are unprecedentedly heavy. Prices for all kinds of products, except wheat, aro highly satisfactory. satisfac-tory. The beet crop, Mr. Ross says, is immense im-mense and commands a good price. The beets arc now through a masher and the juice piped to tho sugar refinery at Sugar City, oight miles distant. Sheep and cattle aro going fine this year. Prices are good and tho farmers and stockmen aro allko making mak-ing money. The building of tho spur of tho Short Lino railroad from St. Anthony to the Yellowstone Yel-lowstone park is proving no small factor in the settling and improvement of tho country. coun-try. All .kinds of farm products grow to greater perfection and fuller development iu Fremont county, Mr. Ross says, than in any other portion of tho country with -which ho ia acquainted. |
