Show LUTHERAHS TO HOLD nil HFEIMCE Pastors of Chnrclies of Utah and Idaho Will Take Part. The Swedish Lutheran church of this city will this week welcome the fifth annual conference of tho Lutheran Luther-an church of Utah and Idaho. The conference con-ference will begin Wednesday evening, October 3, anu sessions will be held three times daily, continuing over the foll&wing Sunday, which will be conference con-ference Sunday. Among the prominent speakers who will be present will be Dr. Conrad Emil Lindberg of Rock Island, 111. Dr. Lindberg is vice-president of tho Aug-ustana Aug-ustana Lutheran synod, tho only Lutheran church among the Swedes in Amorica. Ho was for a number of years pastor of the largest Lutheran church ui New York City and is at present theological professor at Rock Island, III. The Lutheran pastors of Idaho and Utah will all bo present, among them being Rev. C. E. Bengstcu of Idaho Falls, A. H. Franzcn of Boise, O. A. Elmauist and H. IT. Fleer of Ogdon, F. W. In connection with the conference, tho first annual Luther league convention conven-tion will be held. This convention will be held Friday ovoning. The Luther Icaguos of Idaho Falls, Shelley, Blackfoot, Burley and Boise, Ida., and of Ogden, Park City, Provo and Salt Lake City, will be represented represent-ed on the programme. All the sessions will be held at tho Swedish Lutheran church, corner of Second 8outh and Fourth East streets. |
