Show CHANGE IN MANAGERS A. L. Jacobson Succeeds A. B. Snow at the South Columbus. At a mooting of the directors of tho South Columbus iliulng company of Alta, held at tho offices of tho company Saturday afternoon, after-noon, A. E. Snow, tho company's inanuger, tenderod his resignation, which was accepted, and A. L. Jaconson was elected manngor. Mr. Snow reported developments of much interest at tho mine. Mr. Jacobson, accompanied by Mr. Coffin of Minneapolis, & heavy stockholder in tho South Columbus, will leave for the mlno this morning to make un examination and oco what present conditions arc, and take formal charge as manager. Mr. Jncohson is also superintendent su-perintendent of tho Columbus Consolidated and Alta-Qulncy mines. Mr. Jacobson, who began as superintendent of iho Columbus Consolidated seven yearn ago, thon but a prospect, has been phenoraon&lly successful in all his mining operations in that camp and more than ony other agency has brought the Alta district again to tho front and made it a factor to be considered in figuring up tho great producing dUtrict of the State. Mr. Jacobson will return to tho city tonight. |
