Show Salt Lake Attorney. Now in Washington. Makes Statement as to His Withdrawal. DOES NOT LIKE ACTION OF OUTSIDE COUNSEL Regards Coming in of Other Attorneys At-torneys in the Case as Unprofessional. Special to The Tribune WASHINGTON, D. C, Doc. 27. Judge George W. Bartch of the firm of Bartch & Bngley of Salt Lake, who is in Washington, last night issued the following statement: "My firm was employed on the day of the shooting by relatives and friends of Mrs. Bradlev to take complete-charge complete-charge of her defense and to orotcct the interests of her children. Wo then, by wire, engaged the firm of Leekie, Fulton & Cox of this city to take charge of her case here. Tho two firms immediately began careful preparation prepa-ration of the defense with Mrs. Bradley's Brad-ley's sanction and consent, as was apparent ap-parent from the various interviews had by her with th'o local firm. Other Counsel Employed. "Some days after such omplo3'ment and work in hqr behalf, in accordance with the advice. of several Dcrsons from Utah, temporarily residing here who were friends of Senator Brown, she sent for nnd employed other local counsel, who. it appears, accepted employment em-ployment without notice to or communication com-munication with either of the firms then engaged in the case. Since my arrival here I have looked into tho situation and considered these matters with Messrs. Lcckic, jnilton and Cox, whom wo employed, and have communicated communi-cated with Gen. Baglcy, my oartner, "Tho result is that we regard "this action of Mrs. Bradley in changing counsel is wholly unwarranted and ill-advised, ill-advised, and the manner of tho accept-nnco accept-nnco by tho couiiboI whom she em-pjn-ed as unprofessional under the circumstances. Wo have, therefore, withdrawn as counsel in the case, and have so advised those who emploj'ed us, who, since Mrs. Bradley's action in the premises have ured us to remain re-main in charge of the case, and also urped Mrs. Bradley to accept their views.
