Show I MINES ARE VERY PROMISING E. A. Eicpe Talks Entertainingly of Growing Nevada Mining Oamps. R. A. RIepe, one of the County Commissioners Com-missioners of White Pine county, Kev., and about the oldest resident of Ely, Is a large mine owner at Ely and other districts dis-tricts in the State. Mr. RIepe has done much Cor Ely and was a prominent factor fac-tor In securing: for Ely railroad transportation, trans-portation, and. having: an abiding: faith In the merits of the district, has worked incessantly for more than a quarter of a century to bring the mines of iSly to the attention of the outside world. Mr. Riepe Is In the city this w.eek. a guest of the Cullen hotel, and to a Tribune representative repre-sentative said; "Since the 29th of November I have been In Goldfleld, Tonopah and Gold Mountain, twenty-seven miles southwest of Goldfleld. where I have mining Inter-i Inter-i ests. These camps, as the world knows . of the two first named, are prosperous, nnd the outpul of wealth is continually increasing. The Gold Mountain district promises to become one of the leading and Important gold camps of the State." Mr. Riepe Is in Salt Lake on Important mining business, and when this Is completed com-pleted he will return to his Ely home, after a month's strenuous work. |
