Owing to the fact that there are many Salt Lakers owning stock in the Shoshone Consolidated company, all reports re-ports from the Bullfrog district regarding regard-ing the development, work being carried on bv the management is of interest. It will be recalled that the Shoshone mine never has been touched below the 400-foot level, all the enormous and rich tonnages so far developed being on nnd above this shallow level. The com-! com-! pany recentl3' started a main working Fhnit for the purpose of reaching great- I er depths upon the ore bodies. This i shaft has been driven to a depth of .135 feet, and work is being rushed at this point with all vigor. The company has received five car loads of lumber for I the property, and at least; thirty cars in addition are en route from Los An-peles. An-peles. The spur to connect the mine v:ith the dark road is being laid at this time, and will soon be completod.
