"BLACK HAND" PLOT Wealthy American Doctor of Now Tork Threatened by Unknown Persons. NEW 1'ORK, Dec. 27.- Announcement Announce-ment was made today that Dr. Markar G Dadirrian, a well-known Armenian phvsician and manufacturer, is being guarded bv t lie police as the result of a "black hand", plot. The physician, it is said, has recently rcceivell 'two letters threatening him with death if he failed to pay 10,000 to the writers. The police, to whom the case was reported, decided to guard his residence in Harlem night and day. Dr. Dadirrian is 70 years old and said to l)e wealthy, lie is, one of the most influential Armenians in the coun-trv. coun-trv.
