Harrison was on Wednesday arrested on a complaint Issued from tho ofllco of tho Unltod States District Attorney, At-torney, charging; him with having entered Into a conspiracy and confederacy to commit an ortenso against tho United States Government In violation oC section sec-tion 5110 of tho Federal Statutes, District Attorney Issues Complaint. Tho complaint was lssuod by Dlntrict Attornoy L,lppman in compliance with Instructions In-structions from Federal olllcors at Now Orleans. Tho complaint wns based upon an Indictment found on Muv 17, 1906. In that city, acalnst Henry C. Harrison, late of Salt Lake City. State of Utah, and twenty-four other defendants, Including the Southern Express company, tho American Express company, tho Wclls-Farpo Wclls-Farpo Express company, and tho Pacific Express company. What Specific Act Is Alleged. While tho chargo against tho Individual Is that of conspiracy to violate r. law of the United States, tho spoclflc act ns alleged Id an attempt to violate tho antl-lottory antl-lottory laws of tho Federal Govornmont by maintaining an oinco In Now Orleans for tho purpose of disposing of tickets for the "Lottery of tho BonclTccncla Pub-lica" Pub-lica" of Puobla, Mexico. Tho corporations corpora-tions are charged with having transported transport-ed lottory tickets for this concern from New Orleans to various places In the United States. Released Under Bond. Mr. Harrison was nrrcstcd by Deputy United States Marshal Luclon H. Smvth and taken beforo United States Commissioner Commis-sioner Charles Baldwin. Harrison wnB lator released on furnishing bonds In tho amount of $1000 to Insure his appearance before tho commissioner next Mondny at 2 o'clock. The sureties on tho bond are Jnmen McTernay and M. E. Mulvey. Hearing1 to Bo Had Monday. On Monday a hearing will be hold, when a certified copy of tho Indictment will be Introduced as evidence. If the defendant Is then held he will bo required re-quired to give a bond to Insure his appearance ap-pearance at the Federal court at New Orleans In November. Whnt Penalty Is.
