Roy Campbell, tho alleged al-leged hold-up of the Reed hotel on Tuesday Tues-day morning, who was captured tho samo evening by Captain Brown and Olllcer Tom Burk, was this morning subjected to a searching Inquiry by the police officers of-ficers and. after he had ovndod them for an hour, llnally confessed to the robbery. Further still, he told the ofllcers whero he had hidden the money and his gun, arid at their request led them to the rear of the opera house block and showed them where his plunder lay. When tho money was recovered tho officers of-ficers were surprised. There was but 537 10 In money In tho hole, and tho old unwQi-koblo gun with which tho young fellow had overawed his victims. The money did not check up with the sums reported taken, but Campbell declares he has not spent a cent of It.
